On Tuesday 15th March in morning assembly John Blowes, of Carnforth Rotary Club, presented a cheque to Mrs Claire Weymouth, Headteacher at St Wilfrid's C of E Primary School, Halton.
The money, which came from the Santa Sleigh collection (an annual event thoroughly enjoyed by the children in Halton) is to help with the school's gardening project.
The children spend time learning how to prepare the soil, plant seeds and tend the plants as they grow. The proudly grown produce is then used for school lunches.
