It was rather damp and dreary weather on Saturday 29th October when several members of Carnforth Rotary helped raise funds for Galloways, by marshalling the Welly Walk along the Bay Gateway. However, this did not affect the enthusiasm of the 4,600 plus people, many in fantastic costumes, who took part in the walk. The Bay radio kept everyone entertained at the beginning and end, a band played lively music at the half way mark and everyone was in good spirits. The official opening of the road will take place on Monday 31st October.
